Chief People Officer

Amy Sanderson’s role at ReFocus is building a supportive, collaborative culture and maintaining strong values as the company grows. Amy grew up on her family’s dairy farm in Champlain, New York, which instilled in her a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility for the lives depending on her caretaking and decision-making. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University and started her career in business operations, consulting, and then human resources before bringing her passion for people into leadership roles driving business and cultural transformation.

From 2002 to 2017, Amy worked at global private brand developer Daymon Worldwide where she led growth and thought leadership strategies, successfully supported multiple change management, business and talent transformation initiatives as a Vice President of Human Resources, Vice President of Business Transformation, and as Senior Vice President of Growth and Strategy. In 2018, Amy founded her own consulting firm, where she helped companies optimize business, talent, and culture strategies to maximize organizational performance and personal fulfillment. Since 2018, Amy has also served as Santa Energy’s Independent Board Director and Chair for the Leadership Development and Compensation Committee.

Since joining ReFocus as Chief People Officer in 2022, Amy’s mission has been creating a strong culture and scalable People processes to manage the impact of ReFocus’ business on its people and the impact of ReFocus’ people on its business. Amy follows the servant-leadership approach with compassion, respect, and collaboration as the cornerstone of her corporate philosophy. Her goal is to bring out the best in ReFocus’ people so as a team, we can deliver outstanding results.
