Dr. Block is an ophthalmologist and skilled cataract surgeon. He was an early adopter of advanced technology lens implants, starting with the Array Intraocular Lens (IOL) in 1998, the STAAR® Toric IOL in 2003, and aspheric lenses in 2004. Dr. Block was also one of the first surgeons in Connecticut to implant a ReSTOR multifocal lens in 2005 and a Toric in 2007.
In addition to comprehensive ophthalmology, including routine eye exams, Dr. Block specializes in advanced technology lens implants, refractive lens exchange, eyelid surgery, dry eye, glaucoma, cataracts, surgical correction of presbyopia, as well as flashes and floaters.
