Dr. Thomas Lang, a board certified ophthalmologist, practices primary care ophthalmology at The Rhode Island Eye Institute, as well as specializing in cataract surgery and diseases of the anterior segment, or front portion of the eye. Before joining The Rhode Island Eye Institute, Dr. Lang worked for Harvard Pilgrim Health Plan where he was awarded the distinction of Outstanding Physician in 1996. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University.
After earning an undergraduate degree from Harvard University, Dr. Lang attended medical school at Columbia College of Physicians in New York. He interned at Mt. Sinai Hospital and completed his residency at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, both in New York City.
